Flexibility

Maximise early sowing opportunties and control weeds post-emergence

The Roundup Ready canola system enables early or dry sowing opportunities to be maximised. By sowing Roundup Ready canola early, or before the seasonal break, post-emergence applications of Roundup Ready Herbicide with PLANTSHIELD by Monsanto enables effective weed control to be achieved whilst maintaining yield potential.

Early sowing of Roundup Ready canola provides greater flexibility for sowing main season crop

Early sowing of Roundup Ready canola spreads the sowing window for your cropping program. By sowing Roundup Ready canola early it allows for one crops to be out of the way before the

Varieties with a range of resistance groups

Group A and B herbicides are widely used across Australia in many cropping rotations. The extensive use of Group A and B herbicides is increasing herbicide resistance to these modes of action across the country.

Roundup Ready canola growers have greater flexibility with their Integrated Weed Management plan because they can apply Roundup Ready® Herbicide with PLANTSHIELD® by Monsanto, which is a group M herbicide in-crop in the canola part of the rotation.

Roundup Ready Herbicide with PLANTSHIELD by Monsanto can take the pressure off Group A and B herbicides so they can be used in key rotation crops including wheat, barley, oats, lupins and triticale.

PodGuard™ Technology - an option for direct heading, delayed harvest or in windy conditions

Some Roundup Ready canola hybrid varieties contain a specialty trait, PodGuard technology. PodGuard technology has been developed to reduce canola shatter loss and subsequent yield loss. This trait suits areas which are prone to excessively windy conditions prior to harvest or is suited to paddocks where harvest is likely to be delayed for logistical reasons.
